SIKKIM'S WELL ACCLAIMED LITERARY FIGURE - WANGDI TSHERING LAMA

66 years old Shri Wangdi Tshering Lama (Yonzon) residence of Tharpu, Namchi, South Sikkim is one of the well known literary figure of Sikkim. His published books which includes Collections of Poem, Stories, Plays , articles in different magazines & newspapers of Sikkim, Darjeeling, Nepal & Assam was immensely responded and well acclaimed by the readers and the literary associations of these regions. Besides he was more passionate on Thanka arts and domestic temple arts.

Till date he was awarded and felicitated by many associations including a letter of appreciation by Department of Human Resource & Development, Government of Sikkim during his tenure as a Headmaster in school.

His family consist of wife Smt. Kamala Devi Tamang (Ghising) , daughter & son's. He is a lifetime member of Nepalii Sahitya Parisad, Gangtok. Due to complications in his eyes , he is now permanently blind.
