FIRST TAMANG GIRL OF SIKKIM TO SCORE DISTINCTION

Pratibha Yonzon of Holy Cross School, Gangtok-Sikkim and a proud daughter of Shri Mani Kamal Yonzon and Mingmar Doma Yonzon is the first Tamang Girl of Sikkim to score 94% in Class XII Senior School Certificate Result 2013 under Central Board of Secondary Education.

SIKKIM STATE PRESTIGIOUS AWARD TO TAMANG'S

Two of the young inspiring Tamang's conferred with State Civilian Award "Sikkim Sewa Samman" in the field of Research & Entrepreneurship in the State Day celebration at Chintan Bhawan from the hand of His Excellency Governor of Sikkim Balmiki Prasad Singh. Sikkim Sewa Samman carries Rs 1 lakh cash, medallion, citation letter and a shawl.

Yougan Tamang of Jorethang, South Sikkim had mostly researched on CHANGES IN RELIGION & ITS IMPACT ON HEALTH OF TAMANGS OF SIKKIM ,INDIA and invited to present his paper at Manchester, United Kingdom this August 2013 and Sushil Tamang in the field of
Entrepreneurship . He is the owner of Cherry Village Resort, Darap , West Sikkim.

TAMANG SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR OF NEPAL


Bal Bahadur Tamang who was born at Dungeysadhu-3,Taplejung in the farmers family is now one of the richest person in Kathmandu, Nepal having half a dozen of company around Nepal. His previous days been very sad, he had worked hard to travel across many hurdles. Since his school days only he had a responsibilities to take care of his brothers & sisters for the further education. But his self determination had made his coming achievements looks easy. Now these days he travels around the world to extend his business which he operates from Kathmandu city only.

He Heads the Sky Group of Companies - (Sky Overseas Services (P) Ltd, Sky Highway Travels & Tours P. Ltd, Sky Blue Way Technical Institute P. Ltd, Skyline Advertising Agency P. Ltd.)

Besides these he is the Promoter of Mega Bank Nepal Ltd, Member of Foreign Employment Promotion Board and currently holds the post of President in the Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies (NAFEA)

ANCIENT NEPALESE TAMANG SHAMAN


Tamang Shaman's (Jankri’s) ritual costume. ‘The peacock feathers and long red and white scarves serve to represent the primordial rainbow bridge that once connected earth with heaven during the truth era [satya yug]. They are symbols of the shaman’s ability to undertake trance journeys and during soul journeys they are used by shamans as magical flight path axes that connect Earth to the upper and lower worlds.
