Joined S D F in The Year 1993 Under the Leadership of Mr.Pawan Kumar Chamling. Co-Founder Member Of S D F Party 4th March 1993. Convenor ( South & West District ) SDF Party 1999 till date. President ,Sikkim Student Association Darjeeling -1987-89. President. Yangsom School Complex Teachers Association -1992-93.Youth President SDF Party 1995-99. Elected For The First Term From Seven Chakung Constituency West Sikkim in the year 1994 as a Member of Sikkim Legislative Assembly and Inducted into the State Cabinet as Minister for Animal Husbandry Vety Services and Ecclestitical Affairs. Elected For The Second Term From Seven Chakung Constituency West Sikkim in the year 1999 as a Member of Sikkim Legislative Assembly and Inducted into the State Cabinet as Minister for Animal Husbandry Vety Services and Industries.Elected For The Third Term From Seven Chakung Constituency West Sikkim in the year 2004 as a Member of Sikkim Legislative Assembly and Inducted into the State Cabinet as Minister for PWD Buildings & Housing, Sports & Youth Affairs Departments. In the year 2009 he was elected for The Fourth Term from Burtuk Constituency. His areas of interest includes Social Work, Motor Driving ,Cricket ,Football ,Volleyball And Badminton.
He is termed as "YOUTH ICON" of State of Sikkim. And he is doing Youth awareness & Youth upliftment programmee successfully till date.
He is currently in news headlines of Sikkim because Golay has been an SDF MLA for four terms (1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009,) since SDF’s inception. However with difference cropping up between him and Chamling, he has been allegedly sidelined. On the other hand Golay has been avoiding Assembly sessions along with all SDF party programmes. Now he is back with the bang and silenced his all critics with his hidden truth which he voiced in Assembly. He had announced the opening of his new Political Party after Panchayat Election. 90% Public of all corners of Sikkim is supporting Mr. Goley movement for the "CHANGE".
After winning thrice from his constituency Soreng in West Sikkim his was changed to a new constituency Upper Burtuk in East Sikkim. His wings were further clipped with his removal from the cabinet after his victory in the 2009 State Assembly elections from Upper Burtuk. Prior to this he had served as a Minister for three terms.
